Managers and Department Chairs

As leaders at ACC, managers and department chairs have additional responsibilities. They must manage their own HR needs plus the needs of the staff and faculty members they serve. This section addresses topics unique to managers and department chairs, including:

  • Hiring
  • Terminations
  • Performance Evaluations
  • Progressive Discipline

While we invite managers to contact HR at any time, whether through a Mojo support ticket or via email at hrsupport@austincc.edu, we encourage you to develop a relationship with your HR Business Partner. They are HR generalists who act as the department’s field personnel. They are assigned specific campuses and departments, but they also work together to answer questions and solve problems.
