Dental
The Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) serves as the plan sponsor and manager of the dental plans ACC offers. You have a choice of two dental plans: a preferred provider organization (PPO, available nationwide) and a dental health maintenance organization (DHMO, available only in Texas). Both plans provide some level of benefits for preventive, basic, major, and orthodontic dental care.
Effective September 1, 2026, Humana is the dental plan provider for the State of Texas Dental Choice (PPO) and HumanaDental DHMO plans. Contact Humana through the websites linked below or by calling (855) 756-6580 (TTY:711).
Please note: the start of Humana’s administration coincided with the end of Delta Dental’s. Delta Dental managed your dental benefits through August 31, 2026. Unless you made a plan change during ACC’s open enrollment, your coverage should have automatically transferred to Humana — without requiring you to re-enroll.
Humana encourages you to check whether your current dentist is in their provider network. DHMO participants should designate a primary care dentist, even if they had one on file with Delta Dental.

Vision
State of Texas Vision
ACC employees may enroll in State of Texas Vision provided through the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS). The plan is administered by Superior Vision and provides coverage for eye exams, eye glass lenses and frames, and contact lenses. Employees may elect this coverage for themselves only or they may include eligible dependents. Employees pay a monthly premium for this plan.
