ACC offers ALL employees the opportunity to expand their skills and knowledge by offering various professional opportunities. Some of the workshops can be taken during your work hours, while others may need to be taken on your own time.
Supervisor Certificate Program (SCP)
The Supervisor Certificate Program is an 18-month HR Professional Development initiative designed for non-supervisory Staffing Table employees with at least three years of full-time service. Through core management workshops and supervisor shadowing, participants gain foundational leadership training. Upon successful completion, participants receive the equivalent of one year of supervisory experience to help meet minimum qualifications for most entry-level management roles.
Employee Performance Evaluation (PEP)
As part of your annual performance review, you and your supervisor should list professional development activities to focus upon during the upcoming year. These professional development discussions can give you a time each year for you to evaluate your career path goals and plans.
Learning and Honing Skills
Employees can use vouchers to take ACC courses or use their free LinkedIn Learning access to review thousands of current topics for skills development at LinkedIn Learning.
Educational Advancement Program
You may want to consider pursuing a degree at ACC or another college and/or university by taking advantage of one of the programs offered through the Educational Advancement Program.
