Our Purpose
The Office of Institutional Planning & Accreditation supports Austin Community College’s compliance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) policies and standards. Institutional accreditation by SACSCOC is necessary for the College to participate in federal financial aid for students and guarantee the transfer of credits to other colleges/universities. In addition, the Office is responsible for continuous improvement and manages the development and maintenance of ongoing Institutional Planning and Program Review to support the Theory of Change (Strategic Plan) and ensure compliance with federal, state, regional, and College requirements.
