Green Pass

Announcement: CapMetro is currently phasing out the current pass system throughout Spring of 2025. ACC is working with CapMetro to transition pass types. Please see the current status of your pass type below and reach out to greenpass@austincc.edu if you have any issues accessing your pass.

If you received a Green Pass prior to February 18th:

Physical Passes: Your existing physical pass will continue to work for the remainder of the Spring semester as long as you maintain your eligibility. Simply swipe your pass as usual—no changes are needed.

Digital Passes: All current digital passes in the CapMetro app will expire at the end of February. To transition to the new “Umo Mobility” app, please follow the steps below.

  1. Download and install the “Umo Mobility” app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Important: When registering with the Umo app, you must use your ACC email address to receive your free ACC pass benefit.
  3. Send an email to CapMetro at farebalances@capmetro.org with YOUR NAME AND ACC EMAIL ADDRESS, already registered in Umo.
  4. CapMetro will attach your ACC Green Pass benefits to your Umo account. Please allow up to 48 hours for your pass request to be processed.
  5. Once the transfer process is complete, you will receive a notification email from donotreply@umopass.com with the subject line “Receipt of purchase from CapMetro $0.00”

If you requested a Green Pass after February 18th:

  • Physical Passes: Continue to request your pass online and pickup in any of the Campus Managers offices of your convenience, but please note that it may take up to 48 hours to be activated.
  • Digital Passes: Your digital pass will be uploaded to the new “Umo Mobility” app. Please download the app and create an account with your ACC email address BEFORE requesting your digital pass. You will receive an email confirmation once it has been added. After that, simply scan the QR code when you board the bus or train.
