October is International Campus Sustainability Month!
In October, join the Office of Energy & Sustainability in celebrating some of the exciting sustainability initiatives throughout the District.

Solar Snow Cone Demos – Multiple Campuses: Grab a free snow cone by a solar powered blender in a compostable cup and talk with the Office of Energy & Sustainability about ACC’s commitment to renewable energy and Zero Waste!
All events will be outdoors from 10:30-12:30 pm, except those noted below.
- Oct. 2 – Elgin (Building 1000 entry) with Student Life Riverbat Bash (11:30-1:30)
- Oct. 6 – Eastview (Location coming soon) with Student Life Riverbat Bash (11:30-1:30)
- Oct. 7 – South Austin (Courtyard) with Student Life Riverbat Bash (11:30-1:30)
- Oct. 14 – San Gabriel (East Patio)
- Oct 15 – Northridge (Breezeway) & Cosmic Coloring with Student Life
- Oct 20 – Cypress Creek (Courtyard)
- Oct 21 – Riverside (Courtyard)
- Oct 27 – Round Rock (Courtyard)
- Oct 28 – Highland (Building 1000 East Entrance)
- Oct 30 – Hays (Front Courtyard) with Student Life!

Tour the Rooftop Solar Array at the Highland and San Gabriel Campuses
Join the Energy Conservation Manager up on the roof of the Highland or San Gabriel Campus to learn more about solar and ACC’s commitment to renewable energy.
*The solar tours are limited to ACC students, faculty, and staff over the age of 18 and requires an online RSVP to attend.

Tour ACC’s Award-winning Green Buildings
Join the Green Building Project Manager on various tours through ACC’s LEED-certified buildings. Sustainability is designed into many aspects of the campus so you’ll learn about green features around every corner.
Event Interest Form – Not required to attend
- Oct 1 – Highland (10:30-11:00) – Meet at the Welcome Center
- Oct 16 – Rio Grande (12:15-12:45) – Meet at the Rio Cafe
- Oct 30 – Hays (12:30-1:00) – Meet in the Lobby

Volunteer Friday at the Farm – Every Friday this Fall
Join ACC Agricultural Sciences every Friday for a chance to get involved with the Student Farm! The farm gate will be open from 9:00-12:00 for any interested individuals to stop by, tour the farm, and get their hands dirty with a variety of volunteer tasks. The only requirements to join each week is a valid ACC ID, proper sun protection, water, and a mindset of respect and safety at all times. Questions?
