Employee relations issues can significantly impact team culture and an individuals sense of belonging in the workplace. The following links are frequently utilized by the ERO as resources for employees and managers to support with a breakdown in communication or at the initial stage of a concern.

Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program, or EAP, is frequently referenced as a 24/7 resource for individuals in need of counseling services but did you know that they also support with so much more? ACC’s EAP administrator, Deer Oaks, provides the following services, all at no cost:

  • Manager Assist– A free, confidential, and independent service to help supervisors recognize concerning employee behaviors and help the team run more smoothly overall.
  • Life Coaching– Establish a vision, goals and an action plan for personal and professional success with a coach. Follow up sessions, calls and ongoing supportive email communication for progress check ins maximize your potential.
  • Monthly Electronic Newsletters– Employee and supervisors can access monthly e-newsletters covering a variety of topics including health and wellness, work/life balance issues, conflict resolution, leadership, and more.
  • Legal and Financial Assist– Consult with professionals that can support with a variety of legal issues or access unlimited consultations with financial counselors or access a variety of educational resources online. These concerns oftentimes weigh heavily on employees and affect their performance in the workplace.

Performance Excellence Program (PEP)

Human Resources Staff Development and Evaluations provides an overview of the PEP Evaluation process and provides resources for employees and supervisors. Annual PEP evaluations are a time to acknowledge employee strengths and set goals to address areas of growth, however, employees should be provided with regular performance feedback outside of this process.
