This guide provides an overview of travel-related coverage and emergency support services available to faculty, staff, and students traveling abroad or more than 100 miles from their residence. Services are coordinated through AXA Assistance in partnership with Chubb.
I. Who is covered?
International Travel Insurance eligibility includes ACC faculty, employees, and enrolled students. Coverage applies when traveling outside the United States or at least 100 miles from home.

V. Claims and Reimbursements
Reimbursement for services depends on the terms of the policy. Some services require prior approval. Unapproved services may not be covered. Submit claims as instructed in the policy documentation. Policy documentation can be found in Section VIII: Policy Documentation.
VI. Privacy and Security
ACC and Chubb follow HIPAA guidelines to protect your medical and personal information. You have the right to review, amend, and restrict access to your health data.
VII. Important Notices
The Texas Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association protects covered claims if an insurance provider becomes insolvent. You may file complaints or appeals through both Chubb and the Texas Department of Insurance.
