The Trustee Message Board allows ACC Trustees to communicate and share information with each other between public meetings in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act. Only Trustees and designated administrators have permission to post on the message board.

On behalf of our entire family, we want to express our deepest gratitude to Austin Community College and the outstanding Graphics Department for the transformative experience provided to our beautiful daughter, Elliette Hawkins, who graduated in 2023.
Elliette had already built a successful career when she made the courageous decision to return to school and pursue her degree. From the very beginning, she was met with an exceptional group of teachers who immediately recognized her raw talent, incredible intellect, and creative potential. Their guidance and belief in her abilities made all the difference during this dedicated journey.
What truly set the program apart was the comprehensive support that continued well beyond the classroom. The faculty and staff mentored Elliette through every step, including preparation for her top-tier interviews, ultimately leading to her current fulfilling position in the field. We were especially impressed by the Graphics Department’s job fair at the end of the program, which introduced their best and brightest students directly to leaders in the top graphics job market. This level of investment in students’ futures is remarkable and rare.
We are eternally grateful for the creativity, encouragement, and unwavering support Elliette received throughout her time at ACC. We offer a special note of thanks to Lisa Cole for her tireless dedication and the profound impact she had on our daughter’s success.
It was beyond fulfilling to attend the graduation ceremony and hear story after story of first-generation college graduates achieving their dreams. The atmosphere was simply heartwarming and a powerful reminder of the meaningful work being done at Austin Community College every day.
Thank you again for investing in students like Elliette and for creating an environment where non-traditional students can thrive and reach their full potential. We will always hold a special place in our hearts for ACC and the Graphics Department.
