Stephanie Ann Gharakhanian
Board of Trustee Place 8
Ms. Stephanie Gharakhanian represents Place 8 on the Austin Community College Board of Trustees. From 2013 to 2021, she worked as an employment and civil rights attorney at Workers Defense Project, a community-based organization that advocates for immigrant and workers’ rights. She was elected to the Austin Community College Board on December 4, 2018, and re-elected in 2024. Prior to joining the Board, Ms. Gharakhanian served on ACC’s Construction Wages and Workforce Conditions Task Force and the City of Austin’s Construction Advisory Committee. She lives in North Austin with her partner Nick and their two kids. Her six-year term will end in 2030.
