Dear ACC Community,
As we join communities across the nation in recognizing Veterans Day, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the veterans and military-connected families who are part of our ACC community. Your service and life experience strengthen our classrooms, our teams, and our region.
For most, service does not end when the uniform comes off. You continue to show up for those in your life. Thank you for what you bring to this College and community every day.
In recognition of the holiday, ACC will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, to allow time to reflect and honor those who have served.
Supporting Our Veterans
If you are a veteran or from a military family, please remember that you are not alone here. These centers are available to support you:
- Veterans Resource Center: A welcoming space where veterans can meet with academic advisors who understand military transitions, get help navigating benefits, and connect with peers who’ve walked similar paths.
- Military Families Center: Supports spouses, partners, and children of service members and veterans with community-building, resource navigation, peer support, and family-centered programming.
- ACC Career & Advising Services: Trained staff who can help translate military experience into civilian career language, strengthen résumés, and connect you to employers seeking veteran talent.
We are also honored to continue our partnership with the Army Futures Command. Together, soldiers and ACC students are developing solutions that shape the future of technology and national defense.

This Veterans Day, I encourage everyone in our ACC community to take a moment to thank and support the veterans and military families among us.
