Aaron Henry serves as the Chief of Staff at Austin Community College District, supporting the Office of the Chancellor. In this role, he leads strategic and tactical initiatives that advance the Chancellor’s vision and ACC’s mission. Henry ensures day-to-day operations of the Chancellor’s Office run smoothly, providing timely communication, policy development support, and strategic guidance. He works closely with college leadership, students, families, and community partners to implement Chancellor directives, align efforts across departments, and create an environment of excellence and distinction. As a trusted advisor, he ensures the Chancellor has the data and context needed for effective decision-making and helps shape and coordinate executive communications, special projects, and collaborative partnerships.

With over 16 years of leadership experience across K–12 and higher education including both community colleges and at the university level, Henry is recognized for his ability to unify teams, drive strategic initiatives, and keep student success at the center of institutional planning. Prior to joining ACC, he was a key leader at Houston Community College, where he helped guide major system-wide projects from concept to completion and launched student-focused initiatives.

Throughout his career, Henry has served in a variety of roles including professor of History, Humanities, and Developmental English; President of the Staff Senate; and Manager of Student Engagement & Development. He’s been deeply involved in strategic planning, shared governance, student services, professional development, and student success initiatives. His work is always guided by a belief that students and the communities we serve should be at the heart of every institutional decision.

Driven by a deep commitment to collaboration, equity, and inclusive leadership, Henry is passionate about building environments where students, faculty, staff, and communities thrive.

Henry is a proud community college graduate and holds degrees in english, political science with a focus on pre-law studies, and history. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Educational Leadership.
