Team Building and Collaboration

The Office of Belonging and Purpose supports a collegewide culture where students, faculty, and staff feel seen, valued, heard, and connected to meaningful learning and work. Grounded in ACC’s Theory of Change, our work advances belonging, engagement, and purpose through professional learning, team development, coaching, data-informed practice, and community-building initiatives. Our cross-team collaborative approach brings in perspectives while centering the individual and community.

OBP partners with departments, programs, and collegewide teams to strengthen inclusive practices, support student and employee success, and build environments where people can contribute with clarity, confidence, and connection. Through workshops, facilitated conversations, and team-building sessions, we help to cultivate and grow belonging and purpose for all Riverbats.

Our approach centers on human dignity, psychological safety, relationship-rich learning, strengths-based development, and sustainable change.

Support for departments, programs, and teams seeking to strengthen belonging, engagement, and connection in their work.

Strengths-Based Team Development
Facilitated sessions that help teams identify individual and collective talents, improve working relationships, and align strengths to team goals.

Coaching conversations that support reflection, leadership growth, communication, purpose, and professional development.

Belonging-Centered Professional Learning
Workshops and learning experiences focused on inclusive teaching, psychological safety, student connection, radical belonging, and human and community-centered practice.
