Campus Deans
Deans of Student Affairs at ACC are responsible for providing leadership, organization, supervision and evaluation of the following departments and programs: assessment, college-readiness, academic advising, counseling, transfer advising, career counseling, community outreach, and academic testing. They are also responsible for administering college policies and procedures regarding student’s rights and responsibilities and working collaboratively with instructional deans, faculty and academic support personnel to achieve student access and success.

Executive Deans
Regional Executive Deans provide leadership and supervision of campus Dean leadership in a designated region (central, north or south) of the Austin Community College (ACC) District. These positions are key to ACC’s guided pathways and enable the college to provide student support services that are holistic, proactive, and focused.
The Executive Dean of District Clinical Services provides leadership and management of counseling services using a Guided Pathways approach. This includes developing Austin Community College (ACC) behavioral intervention teams known as Campus Assessment Response Evaluation and Support (CARES), establishing counseling services that support the psychosocial needs of students, and implementing regulatory and compliance programs to include, but not limited to, the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA), Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act (VAWA), Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act (Campus SaVE), Suicide Prevention, and Domestic/Dating/Sexual Violence programming.

Clinical Services
The Dean of Counseling provides oversight for all leadership, management, supervision, and operations for the regional clinical counseling teams assigned to one of three regions under the Student Support Services department. The Dean is responsible for representing the regional counseling services as a participant member of the assigned region’s behavioral intervention team (ACC CARES). The Dean leads compliance programming activities for the district and have oversight responsibility for the assigned region’s compliance programming in areas that include, but are not limited to, the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA), Title IX Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act (VAWA), Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act (Campus SaVE) | Clery Act, Suicide Prevention and Domestic/Dating/Sexual Violence programming.
