{"id":1371,"date":"2026-07-16T21:26:16","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T21:26:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/offices.austincc.edu\/vice-chancellor-of-instruction\/?p=1371"},"modified":"2026-07-16T21:26:16","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T21:26:16","slug":"dliwg-update-07-16-26-temporary-project-pool-tpp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/offices.austincc.edu\/vice-chancellor-of-instruction\/dliwg\/dliwg-update-07-16-26-temporary-project-pool-tpp\/","title":{"rendered":"DLIWG Update &#8211; 07\/16\/26 (Temporary Project Pool (TPP))"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The temporary project pool consists of the aggregate LEH remaining after use of Assistant Department Chair (ADC) release has been confirmed by each department across a School*.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Temporary Project Pool release time:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Can only be used for timebound projects for which there is alignment and scale\u00a0 (i.e., projects that can be completed in one academic year)\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Must be for work outside the scope of a standard ADC role\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Should be for no fewer than one course and no more than a two-course release, equating to 6 LEH, and up to 10.5 LEH (5.25 LEH world)\u00a0 maximum, per academic year. Allocation of course release proposed at a rate of fewer than one course or more than two courses per year will be evaluated as part of this process.<\/li>\n<li>TPP release time is considered a reduction in teaching and student success responsibilities, usually for the purpose of accepting a special assignment, or special\/additional duties not expected of most faculty.
