Dr. Gaye Lynn Scott<\/h2>\n

Dr. Gaye Lynn Scott serves as Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, with administrative responsibility for the college\u2019s credit\/transfer programs, credit workforce programs, continuing education division, and adult education office.<\/p>\n

Dr. Scott\u2019s focus is always on promoting excellence and innovation in teaching and learning and supporting programs that contribute to student success. She has led efforts to greatly expand the use of open educational resources; launch an early alert program; move to a strategic approach to building the annual course schedule; support faculty hiring based on strengths-minded pedagogy; expand robust external partnerships, and build greater access to programs for area high school students.<\/p>\n

Dr. Scott also has served as associate vice chancellor of academic programs at ACC, dean of social and behavioral sciences, and a professor of government \u2014 including serving as the government department chair for nearly five years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Dr. Scott earned her doctorate in higher education from Texas Tech University in December 2015. That same year, Dr. Scott was named ACC\u2019s Administrator of the Year and was a Roueche Excellence Award winner. She is active in her church, a lifelong baseball fan, and an accomplished pianist.<\/p>\n
