The Assistant Deans for Faculty Advising transitioned from student affairs to instruction to help launch this new faculty advising initiative. Collectively, they bring a wealth of expertise and experience in instruction and training, retention and persistence, and completion and transfer from their work with underrepresented, first generation, and at-risk student populations. During their years of service in student affairs, they collaborated with individuals and departments across the college, and these relationships will support and strengthen the success of this initiative. Together they will begin hiring, training and supporting adjunct faculty to provide an additional level of support for our General Studies students.<\/p>\n
