{"id":1216,"date":"2026-02-26T21:06:50","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T21:06:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/offices.austincc.edu\/vice-chancellor-of-instruction\/?page_id=1216"},"modified":"2026-06-08T18:16:45","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T18:16:45","slug":"distributed-leadership-implementation-work-group","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/offices.austincc.edu\/vice-chancellor-of-instruction\/distributed-leadership-implementation-work-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Distributed Leadership Implementation Work Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Distributed Leadership Implementation Work Group<\/strong> (DLIWG aka \u201cthe DillyWig\u201d) is designing and implementing a more sustainable model for leadership across academic departments and divisions that supports transparency and consistency, and recognizes the unique needs of departments.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Work In Progress:<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop a transparent and objective process for determining appropriate release time according to key department characteristics<\/li>\n<li>Development of assistant dean structure<\/li>\n<li>Development of assistant department chair structure<\/li>\n<li>Posting of senior instructional operations coordinator roles to support chairs and deans<\/li>\n<li>Partner with the Faculty Senate and Academic Affairs leadership to update the Administrative Rule on faculty workload<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Our Goal:<\/strong> Build a leadership model that supports long-term sustainability, clarity, and belonging.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Distributed Leadership Implementation Work Group Members<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Instructional Associate Vice Chancellor &amp;
