Austin Community College has one distinct five-year cycle of planning, which includes annual unit-level planning. The cycle falls under the umbrella of ACC\u2019s Mission, Vision, and Goals, and supports the\u00a0Theory of Change (Strategic Plan)<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Theory of Change<\/h2>\n

ACC\u2019s Theory of Change (Strategic Plan)<\/a> consists of Tenets, Values, and Guiding Principles<\/a>. A strategic plan establishes the overall direction for the College and serves as the foundation for annual goal planning and budgeting at all levels of the institution.<\/p>\n

Institutional Planning<\/h2>\n

Each year, the College\u2019s administrative, educational, and instructional support leaders engage in the institutional (annual, operational) planning process. They report progress toward achieving the planning goals, objectives, and actions set forth the previous year, and propose unit objectives and actions for the coming year.<\/p>\n

Budgeting Process<\/h2>\n

The budgeting process is closely tied to the goals of the College. All units prepare budget requests aligned with college-wide strategic goals and unit goals set for the upcoming year. The Chancellor\u2019s Cabinet reviews anticipated funding and establishes budget priorities.
