{"id":150,"date":"2022-10-03T15:59:05","date_gmt":"2022-10-03T15:59:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/offices.austincc.edu\/human-resources\/?page_id=150"},"modified":"2025-10-29T20:50:04","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T20:50:04","slug":"family-and-medical-leave-act","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/offices.austincc.edu\/human-resources\/family-and-medical-leave-act\/","title":{"rendered":"Family and Medical Leave Act"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Full-time staff, faculty, and eligible adjunct faculty may qualify for family and medical leave under the <strong>Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible, you must have:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Worked for ACC for at least <strong>12 months<\/strong>, and<\/li>\n<li>Logged at least <strong>1,250 hours<\/strong> during the past 12 months.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Eligible employees can take <strong>up to 12 weeks of job-protected leave<\/strong> for approved family or medical reasons.
