State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC)

During the 2022 SECC, Austin Community College employees generously contributed $36,654 to local, statewide, national, and global charitable organizations. We are proud of ACC’s commitment and concern for those in our community who need an extra helping hand to face financial, personal, and physical challenges.

The SECC supports over 1,000 local and statewide charitable organizations including, Capital IDEA, Central Texas Food Bank, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Habitat for Humanity, Austin Pets Alive, just to name a few. Central Texas is home to many non-profit charities that help support the college, from providing teaching materials for at-risk students to expanding the community’s access to higher education. One of the approved charities, the ACC Foundation, supports the college by providing scholarships directly to ACC students, which helps reduce financial barriers, set them up for success, and create opportunities for all members of our community to achieve their dreams

ACC is dedicated to making a positive difference in this community, and together, through this campaign we can help to build stronger communities, and create environments in which we can all thrive.

Giving back to the community is beneficial for everyone, and can help us feel good too! Think about the ways you can GIVE, whether it’s signing up for a monthly payroll deduction, giving a one-time donation, or donating through a campus fundraising event. As little as $2 a month can be a significant benefit to these charities, and if we all give just a little, think of the difference we can make on our community together as a college.

Let’s make ACC’s 2023 campaign to be the most impactful one yet!
