As we gear up for another vibrant academic year, we’re excited to have arrived at the implementation stage of our initiative aimed at enhancing the support and connection between our HR team and all of you. Starting the week of August 19, our dedicated HR Business Partners will be deploying to campuses to join in the excitement and preparation as we welcome back students!
To ensure you feel fully supported as we transition into this new school year, our HR Business Partners will be on your campuses in person to build meaningful connections, understand your needs, and work collaboratively to improve your experience at ACC.
Hiring Erica Breedlove, Aly Wang, and Donald Jackson as ACC’s inaugural Business Partners was key to our strategy to bridge the gap between our Highland office and the campuses. They have been assigned to serve as your primary point of contact for any HR-related needs. Whether you have questions, require assistance, or need guidance, your HR Partner will be there to help.
We went on a whirlwind tour of all the campuses in early July, meeting as many people as possible and learning about what some of the challenges are. Now, the Partners have created a schedule for regular weekly visits (posted below) and are ready to hang a shingle at each of their assigned campuses. I asked them how they feel about this new, uncharted part of their jobs.
Donald Jackson
“Sitting behind a desk is no way to advance change. We want to meet you where you are, get to know you, and earn your trust.
We know that dealing with HR matters takes time away from the jobs you were hired to do. So please lean on us for guidance and direction.“
Aly Wang
“During our tours of the campuses, I was so impressed to see the depth and breadth of programs ACC offers and the sense of pride each campus shows for its offerings. The instructors spoke with such enthusiasm, I wished I were a college student again!
I look forward to getting to get to know each of you and helping you tackle the HR issues you’re facing. Start making a list of questions and concerns; I’ll see you next week!“
Erica Breedlove
“I am so excited to work face-to-face with the many people I’ve talked to throughout my 24 years at ACC. In my new role, I’ll be building on the skills learned over that time. Not only can I help recruit the people you need, but I can help you grow them into employees who will also want to make ACC their long-time home.
There’s no reason you should have to manage HR issues on your own. I’ll be there to help!“

As we embark on this journey, we want to express our gratitude for the enthusiasm and appreciation we’ve received from you during our campus introductory sessions. It has been a pleasure meeting with hundreds of employees and hearing about the positive impact of our HR work.
