Announcement:<\/strong> The raised garden bed application will open one week before the start of the semester and remain open for two weeks after the start of the semester. If beds are available after that time, they will be assigned on a rolling basis. Those interested in getting involved with campus garden initiatives may email green@austincc.edu<\/a> to express interest, and join the Green Team<\/a> mailing list to receive updates. <\/mark><\/p>\n

The Austin Community College Learning Gardens are intended to support experiential learning and environmental wellness for the ACC community. The learning gardens are a space to get outside, try new things, and learn from hands-on experiences in the gardens, as well as learning from other members. All current ACC students, faculty, and staff members are invited to join the ACC Learning Garden community, regardless of prior gardening experience. <\/p>\n

There are multiple ways to participate in ACC Learning Garden activities. Please see a description of each garden and event type below and consider the estimated time commitment required for each.<\/p>\n

Prior to starting any activity in the gardens, all participants MUST have submitted all required forms to the Office of Energy & Sustainability. <\/p>\n

Pollinator Gardens<\/strong> (Low Time Commitment)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Help support pollinators on campus by volunteering to build or maintain one of ACC\u2019s Pollinator Gardens. Participants can expect 1-2 hours of volunteering with opportunities posted to the Green Team calendar throughout the semester. <\/p>\n
