Every message should help students navigate college life by providing information that is timely, useful, and easy to understand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Digital signage content should:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support ACC&#8217;s North Star 2030 goal<\/li>\n<li>Align with Theory of Change (TOC) initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Promote student success, belonging, and engagement<\/li>\n<li>Increase awareness of College resources, services, and opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Reinforce a consistent ACC brand experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because of this renewed focus, digital signage content may look different than it has in previous years. Messages should be shorter, more focused, and designed for quick viewing in busy campus environments.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Purpose of the Digital Signage Network<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The district-wide digital signage system exists to:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increase safety and operational awareness<\/li>\n<li>Support student success through timely communications<\/li>\n<li>Promote important deadlines, resources, and services<\/li>\n<li>Build campus belonging and engagement<\/li>\n<li>Provide a consistent institutional communication experience across all ACC campuses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submission Process<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">OCRM reviews and manages all digital signage content.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Weekly Timeline<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Friday, 8 a.m.<\/strong> \u2014 Submission deadline<\/li>\n<li><strong>Friday<\/strong> \u2014 OCRM reviews submitted slides<\/li>\n<li><strong>Monday<\/strong> \u2014 New playlists are published district-wide<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While OCRM encourages you to submit digital signage requests as early as possible, all submissions are reviewed on Fridays.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;d like your signage to run within your desired run date, we recommend submitting your request well in advance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>OCRM reviews and approves all submissions.<\/li>\n<li>OCRM does not edit or redesign submitted slides.<\/li>\n<li>Submission does not guarantee placement.<\/li>\n<li>Display dates and duration are determined by OCRM based on programming priorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Event Promotions<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To improve consistency and reduce duplicate messaging, ACC is changing how events are promoted on signage.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Upcoming Events Feed<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Campus events should first be submitted to the <strong>ACC Events Calendar<\/strong> on <a href=\"http:\/\/austincc.edu\/events\">austincc.edu\/events<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Approved events will automatically populate the Rise Vision <strong>Upcoming Events<\/strong> ticker displayed across campus.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/calendars\/acc-events-calendar\/\">ACC Events Calendar<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Event Slides<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Custom event slides may still be approved for display during the week of the event, based on available playlist space and institutional priorities.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Design Specifications<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">File Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>File type: JPG or PNG<\/li>\n<li>Size: <strong>1920 \u00d7 1080 pixels<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Orientation: Landscape (16:9)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">File Naming Convention<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Department_EventName_Semester_Year.png<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Example<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drama_CurtainFall_Fall_2026.png<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Design Requirements<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every slide should communicate <strong>one message<\/strong> and encourage <strong>one action<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Event or announcement title<\/li>\n<li>Date<\/li>\n<li>Time<\/li>\n<li>Location (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>A call to action<\/li>\n<li>Contact email, shortened URL, and QR code (optional)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If using a QR code, include the written URL for accessibility.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Limit text to <strong>30 words or fewer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remember:<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>One screen. One message. One action.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Writing Standards<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use language that is:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Clear<\/li>\n<li>Concise<\/li>\n<li>Student-focused<\/li>\n<li>Easy to understand in 3\u20135 seconds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/offices.austincc.edu\/college-relations-and-marketing\/acc-marketing-resources\/writing-style-guide\/\">ACC Style Guide <\/a>standards, including:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Spell out all months.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Use numerals for dates (e.g., <strong>August 15<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li>Use lowercase <strong>a.m.<\/strong> and <strong>p.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Avoid all caps. Use mixed case.<\/li>\n<li>Include full campus and building names or room numbers when needed. (IE: ACC Highland Campus, Building 3000, Room 2151)<\/li>\n<li>Spell-check and proofread all content before submitting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accessibility &amp; Design Best Practices<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDigital signage is not a flyer.
