These slides are updated weekly to inform students, faculty, and staff about important events and deadlines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline to submit slides: Friday at 8 a.m.<\/strong> for the following Monday or your desired run week.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Slides must conform to ACC\u2019s digital signage rules and meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Slides must be JPG or PNG format, 1920 x 1080 pixels in a horizontal orientation.<\/li>\n<li>Use the following naming convention: eventorslidename_semester_year.png or .jpg<\/li>\n<li>Text must be 30 words or fewer and readable from 10 feet away.<\/li>\n<li>Text must meet\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/offices.austincc.edu\/college-relations-and-marketing\/acc-marketing-resources\/\">ACC style guidelines<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Slides must have a call to action, such as \u201cJOIN US\u201d or \u201cRSVP HERE.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Include pertinent event info (event name, date, time, place), with either a contact email, or a shortened URL (bitly or tinyurl), or a QR Code.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brand.austincc.edu\/acc-branding-tools-and-templates\/qr-codes\/\">All QR codes<\/a> must also have an accompanying written-out URL for accessibility<\/li>\n<li>Use contrasting text and background colors.<\/li>\n<li>Include an approved department logo. <a href=\"https:\/\/brand.austincc.edu\/acc-brand-visual-identity\/acc-primary-logos\/\">Follow logo usage guidelines<\/a> for all logos.\u00a0Only two slides can be submitted at one time.\u00a0Only ACC departments or organizations; no personal or non-ACC signs permitted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ACC will run only two slides per department or organization each week. Slides that do not meet these requirements will not be displayed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Slide Examples Dos and Don\u2019ts<\/h2>\n<p>The following slides are examples of slide dos and don&#8217;ts. They are meant to maximize the impact of your messaging.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Proofread your slide. Have someone else read it.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure your image is jpg or png \u2013 no other file formats can be submitted.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Make sure your text conforms to <a href=\"https:\/\/offices.austincc.edu\/college-relations-and-marketing\/acc-marketing-resources\/writing-style-guide\/\">ACC style guidelines.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Use fonts with easy readability. Hard to read fonts will cause your slide to be denied.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure your image, graphics and colors are high contrast for accessibility.<\/li>\n<li>Use a URL shortener, and don\u2019t forget to include a URL if you are using a QR code<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Understand the digital signage processes<\/h3>\n<p>Deadline for submitting a slide is Friday at 8 a.m. for the following Monday or for your desired run week. The sooner you submit your slide, the more time you have for revisions and resubmitting.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>OCRM and ACCTV are responsible for reviewing all submissions and approving or sending them back for revisions. We are not responsible for editing your slides.<\/p>\n<p>Digital signage playlists are updated every Monday. Slides can run for up to 3 weeks or until the event is past. Depending on the event, we can rerun slides if needed.<\/p>\n<p>Final Steps<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Proofread your slide before submitting. Read the text out loud to confirm it is clear and readable within 15 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Submit slides early to allow time for any needed revisions. If approved, the slide is added to the slide run for the following Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">What happens if my slide is rejected?<br \/>\n<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\"><\/p>\n<p>OCRM will provide you with a list of reasons the slide was rejected. It\u2019s up to you to remake the slide and resubmit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">Can OCRM fix the slide for me?<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\"><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, no. We receive upwards of 50 submissions each week. It\u2019s best to submit early in the week so you have time to remake the slide if necessary.
