Dr. Jenna Cullinane Hege serves as Vice Chancellor of Research, Effectiveness & Grants at Austin Community College (ACC), where she leads institution-wide efforts to improve student outcomes and organizational performance. She oversees institutional research, strategic planning, accreditation, program review, and grant development to support data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement across the institution. <\/p>\n

Dr. Cullinane Hege has been instrumental in shaping ACC\u2019s Theory of Change, Institutional Effectiveness Report Card, and transformative initiatives such as ACC\u2019s Free Tuition Program and Bats to Cats<\/em>, a guaranteed transfer program. Her leadership reflects a commitment to reducing gaps in student outcomes and reimagining student success through innovative, evidence-based approaches at scale.<\/p>\n

Before joining ACC, Dr. Cullinane Hege served as Deputy Assistant Commissioner for Strategic Planning at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, where she leveraged the state\u2019s vast data resources to inform higher education policy and funding models with a focus on access, completion, and labor market outcomes.<\/p>\n

In addition to her vice chancellor role, she contributes to state and regional initiatives that strengthen higher education policy, funding, access, and student attainment. She is a member of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board\u2019s Community College Finance Committee, where she chaired a subcommittee on performance funding outcomes. Locally, she has served as Vice Chair of the Central Texas College Attainment Network, co-chair of the Austin 2030 Data Committee, and board member for Austin Partners in Education. <\/p>\n

Dr. Cullinane Hege is also deeply engaged in leadership development and community impact. She is a graduate of the Aspen Institute\u2019s Rising Presidents Fellowship<\/em>, a former assistant professor of practice in Education Leadership and Policy at the University of Texas at Austin, an alumnus of the Leadership Austin Essential 45 \u2013 2024 cohort, and won the award for Best Presentation at the TAIR Conference 2025. At ACC, she is a mentor for the Ascender program, serves on the Administrative Services Council, and teaches mathematics in the Adult Education Department.<\/p>\n

She earned her Ph.D. in Public Policy and Master\u2019s in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin and holds a Bachelor\u2019s in Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
