As Vice-Chancellor, Business Services, Angela Hodge oversees the business office which comprises of Bill to Pay (B2P), Payroll Services (H2R), Procure to Pay (P2P) & Materials Management and Logistics (MML), Record to Report (R2R), and Finance Transformation & Treasury (FTT).<\/p>\n
Prior to coming to ACC, Angela was the Americas Finance Manager \u2013 Trade Payments, Disbursements, Cash Forecasting, and Banking at the largest of Apple Inc.\u2019s Global Finance Shared Services centers. There she led a stellar team of analysts, accountants, and banking specialists who were responsible for providing timely and accurate cash forecasting (in a plethora of currencies), managing special projects, participating in UATs, calculating and transmitting hundreds of thousands of worldwide payments across multiple payment platforms in a timely manner.<\/p>\n
Before that, Angela was Assistant Director, Accounting and Licensee Compliance for The University of Texas at Austin\u2019s Office of Technology Commercialization. In this role she managed the Accounting department, created a Licensee Compliance team, and collaborated with global business partners – including entrepreneurs, technology incubators, venture capitalists, angel investors, other institutions of higher education, and large firms – to negotiate financial terms for patent agreements, enforce compliance with licensing terms, and accounting for the revenue and expenditures associated with the departmental operations and monetization of the University\u2019s research.<\/p>\n
Angela earned a Master in Professional Accounting (Taxation) and Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (Accounting) from The University of Texas at Austin as part of the Professional Program in Accounting after completing some coursework at ACC and in England. She was born and raised in Berkshire, England and regularly goes back home to visit her family and friends. Throughout her career, Angela has volunteered for a number of local charities and continues to mentor students from different backgrounds in an effort to encourage them to actively pursue their goals.<\/p>\n
