Students come to ACC for a variety of reasons. Many take credit courses with the intent to earn a degree or certificate or transfer to a four-year university. Others have a degree and seek additional career-related skills. <\/p>\n

Less than a quarter of ACC students are enrolled as full-time students. Studies show that fewer than half of students going to college part-time return the next year.\u00a0A scholarship can provide the funds that enable a part-time student become full-time.<\/p>\n

Established in 2016, the Alumni Network Scholarship is awarded to one full-time student pursuing a certificate or associate degree at ACC. The award is based on the funds available and can be applied to tuition, fees, and books. <\/p>\n

Scholarship Criteria<\/h2>\n

\u2022 Minimum 2.25\/4.0 GPA or equivalent or submit a GED.
\u2022 Financial need (as determined by the ACC Financial Aid Office). It is recommended students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). 
\u2022 Essay should address how the scholarship will assist the student in becoming or continuing as a full-time student.<\/p>\n

Terms of Scholarship<\/h2>\n

\u2022 Enroll in and complete a minimum of 12 hours with a 2.25 GPA each semester while on scholarship.
\u2022 Scholarship applies to tuition, fees, and books.
\u2022 Scholarship must be used within the academic year it is awarded.
\u2022 Scholarship may be renewed upon satisfactory academic progress, submission of a progress report, and application.
\u2022 Scholarship may be awarded in addition to other scholarships or financial aid to assist the recipient in becoming or continuing as a full-time student.<\/p>\n
